TAG observation(2) 26/07/2017
Today I visited a TAG meeting conducted by Mr Ganeshnath Pardeshi. He rolled out 3rd meeting of NAS034 at Z. P.Primary school, Aashewadi.Tal: Dindori Dist; Nashik.Mrs Saavkar Madam ,cluster head of Rasegaon was present for the whole TAG meeting. Mrs Ahirrao madam ,the HM of Aashewadi availed nice classroom with computer and projector. 17 out of 18 TAG teachers were present in the tag.
I reached at 8.30 am. I began with few words introducing the importance of English and TAG. Mr. Ganesh sir started the TAG with warmer.He made participants to line up according to alphabetical order. They enjoyed and reflected on it.Teachers gave some suggestions on the line up activity.
Language development (8.50)
Tag C used board for writting bullet points.He took review by asking
what you did in the last month ? 2 teachers responded.To maximise speaking Ganesh sir encouraged teachers to tell a story. Mr Vilas sir told a story of Birbal taking help of written points. He tried very well.
TAG c selected What's the weather like ? topic.Introduced weather related words like hot,cold,rainy,sunny.All the teachers practised questioning and answering.
In this section teachers solved/wrote answers in pairs in RB. Teachers need some motivation and confidence to speak or to participate.
After this, tag c conducted brainstorming on the word 'RAIN'.
They were involved in onion ring activity and practised what questions they learnt previously.
10 min break was given.
Learning by watching (10:00)
Made circle. sang a song. It was action song sung by 2 participants. then they performed and others observed and followed their actions. Tag c elicited the concept of learning by watching.He provided \you tube link to each teacher to see the video clip,as there was electricity problem. He took 'point to the....' activity.
Learning by reading ....very little idea was given about htis topic ...
Reflection and action planning.
This section was given much time to interact and reflecting their ideas.

- Tag coordinator has good confidence,fluency and facilitation techniques. He has good rapport with teachers and Kp.He used board for writting bullet points. He motivated teachers to facilitate tag next time.He used different interaction patterns like grouping, pairing,indivdual and whole class work. he made teachers to speak English.
- Teachers also assured to conduct activities in their classroom.
Overall it was a nice TAG facilitation.
